귀찮다를 영어로?

'귀찮다'는 영어로 can't be bothered라고 한다. 관용적인 표현이기 때문에 해석하려 하면 안 된다.-_-;;;

• A: Aren't you going to class? 수업 안 가?
• B: I can't be bothered. 귀찮네.

• A: Why didn't you come to the gym last night? 어제 왜 체육관 안 왔어?
• B: I couldn't be bothered. 귀찮아서.

• Time to go jogging, but I can't be bothered. 조깅 갈 시간인데 귀찮네.
• I just didn't go to school because I couldn't be bothered. 귀찮아서 그냥 학교 안 갔다.

can't be bothered + ~ing 또는 can't be bothered to는 '~하기 귀찮다'란 뜻이다.

• I can't be bothered cooking. 요리하기 귀찮네.
• I couldn't be bothered cooking, so I had a noodle soup. 요리하기 귀찮아서 라면 먹었다.
• We ate out because my wife couldn't be bothered to cook. 아내가 귀찮다고 요리를 안 해서 나가서 먹었다.
• I can't be bothered to do anything. 모든 게 귀찮다.

can't be bothered with ~는 '~가 귀찮다'는 의미인데 때로는 의역을 해야한다.

• I can't be bothered with anything. 모든 게 귀찮다.
• I can't be bothered with school. 직역하면 '학교가 귀찮다'지만 '학교 다니기 귀찮아'로 의역.
• I can't be bothered with life. 직역하면 '인생이 귀찮다.'로 '사는 게 귀찮다'로 의역.
